A Prayer

“O Lord, whenever I am celebrating Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, birthdays and so on together with family members or friends and all of us are having a wonderful time, please grant that I may spare a thought and offer up a prayer for all the mothers, fathers, birthday boys or girls and so on in the world in destitute  or less fortunate circumstances who are struggling to survive, let alone find the means or the reasons to celebrate such occasions we normally take for granted lest I become blind or indifferent to the sufferings of the destitute or the less fortunate. Lord, hear my prayer.”
